Trump's vice-presidential pick: What you need to know

Indiana governor Mike Pence says he is "honoured" to have been selected by Donald Trump as the likely Republican candidate's vice-presidential running mate.

The former six-term congressman is well-known in conservative circles in the US, but his name is hardly of the household-variety around the country.
