Downton Abbey new Sunday night drama

The Radio Times has described it as a 'winning, fleshy rump of escapism'.

The new drama Downton Abbey starts on Sunday on ITV1 and is written by Oscar winner Julian Fellowes, the actor who previously penned Gosford Park and the Young Victoria.

It follows the Crawleys - a family living in sumptuous surroundings in England - and stars Hugh Bonneville, who has appeared in Mansfield Park and Notting Hill.

Julian and Hugh described the new programme to BBC Breakfast.
