Sculptures set for Fourth Plinth

A bright blue cockerel and a bronze sculpture of a boy on a rocking horse will take their place on the Fourth Plinth in London's Trafalgar Square.

A giant cockerel in ultra-marine blue and a bronze boy on a rocking horse are the next two commissions for the fourth plinth in London's Trafalgar Square.

Elmgreen & Dragset described their piece, Powerless Structures Fig.101, as a playful take on the traditional equestrian scupture - which celebrates childhood.

Artist Katharina Frits' Hahn/Cock is said to symbolise regeneration, awakening and strength.
