Poet delighted to win Costa Book of the Year

Poet Jo Shapcott has won the Costa Book of the Year award for Of Mutability, a collection of poems partly inspired by her battle against breast cancer.

The writer joined Andrew Neil, who chairs the judging panel, on BBC Breakfast and shared her delight that poetry had been recognised by Costa two years in a row.
