Arlene Phillips: Ballet is for everyone

Choreographer Arlene Phillips said she hopes that ballet will reach out to more people as the Royal Ballet performs Romeo and Juliet at The O2.

The company is usually based at the Royal Opera House and is performing in a UK arena for the first time.

Ms Phillips, who sits on the judging panel of the BBC Saturday night series So You Think You Can Dance, said that she would have loved to have been a ballerina, but that the dance form is still "her life".
