Andrew Miller wins Costa Book of the Year for Pure
Andrew Miller won the £30,000 Costa Book of the Year award for his novel, Pure, set in a crumbling Parisian graveyard in the years leading up to the French revolution.
Accepting the award at a ceremony in London, Mr Miller said: "Three years in a room on your own, then this."
He added it was "a little unsettling but deeply pleasurable" to be the winner.
