Costa winner Andrew Miller's medieval inspiration

Author Andrew Miller has won the Costa Book of the Year Award for his sixth novel, Pure.

Set in Paris in the run up to the French revolution, it is the story of a young engineer sent to the city on the orders of the king, to demolish an ancient cemetery that is over-flowing with the dead.

He spoke to BBC Breakfast about the inspiration behind the novel.
