Baftas makes noise for winning silent film, The Artist

The French silent film, The Artist, dominated Sunday night's Bafta ceremony in London, winning seven awards including best film, best director and best actor.

Meanwhile, Meryl Streep was named best actress for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady.

There was a slight slip up as she lost a shoe on her way to collect the award.

Fortunately Colin Firth came to her assistance.
