Meet the Colombian 'Billy Elliot'

Colombia's Fernando Montano talks to the BBC about how, after deciding at the age of four that he wanted to become a professional ballet dancer, he travelled the world from Cuba to Italy before ending up in the UK where he is now the only Colombian dancer in the Royal Ballet.

While most young boys want to become professional footballers when they grow up, like film character Billy Elliot Colombia's Fernando Montano knew that his future lay in ballet.

He talks to the BBC about how he pursued and achieved that dream, moving at the age of 14 from a port city on the Colombian Pacific coast to Cuba, eventually becoming the only Colombian dancer in the British Royal Ballet.
