Spain's silent Snow White film

The new Spanish film Blancanieves is making waves in the film world. Based upon the story of Snow White, the film is silent and shot in black and white, as Tom Brook reports.

When the silent picture The Artist won top Oscars trophies in 2012, there were predictions that its success would call forth a new wave of silent cinema.

Blancanieves is a silent, black and white Spanish interpretation of Snow White set in 1920's Spain.

Talking Movies' Tom Brook has been hearing from the film's director.

Talking Movies is broadcast on BBC World News on Saturday at 13:30 GMT and Sunday at 00:30, 07:30 and 20:30 GMT.
