Bond director Sam Mendes finally gets his golden ticket

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has opened in the West End with Willy Wonka played by Tony-winning British actor Douglas Hodge.

The Musical is Mendes' first project since directing Skyfall, the most successful James Bond film yet.

He spoke to Will Gompertz about the pressures and privilege of putting such a well-known story on the stage.
