Britons 'waste six meals a week'

Research by an anti-waste group suggests British families throw away the equivalent of six meals per week.

Despite many households feeling the pinch with rising energy and food bills, research suggests that the average UK household throws out the equivalent of six meals a week.

Buying too much, serving overly large portions and confusion over the shelf life of food are said to be the main reasons for discarding groceries.
