'My shock at Whitney Houston's death'
Singer Mary J Blige has been telling the BBC's Jane Garvey of Woman's Hour about the rocky road to success where she said she felt ''like a deer in headlights''.
She also described the huge impact of the death of her friend, Whitney Houston, upon her own life.
''It was a shock - I lost it completely. But I gained by self-love and self-respect even more, because she was too important to the world'', she said.
