Voice of movie trailers Hal Douglas dies aged 89

Hal Douglas, the voice behind some of Hollywood's biggest film trailers, has died aged 89.

Mr Douglas's iconic vocals can be heard on thousands of trailers including Forrest Gump, Meet the Parents and Philadelphia.

LA-based voiceover consultant Marice Tobias told BBC Radio 5 live's Up All Night: "He was the consummate storyteller."

"Each time he spoke he made us feel us like kids again and he transported us to whatever world he was talking about."
