Can you teach a dolphin to talk?

A new documentary unearths recordings of a 'talking' dolphin, who took part in a 1960s experiment

50 years ago a young researcher spent months living alongside a dolphin called Peter as part of a ground breaking experiment to try to teach the animal to learn how to speak.

The interaction between the two of them was recorded on thousands of reel-to-reel tapes, and they now form part of a documentary by film maker Christopher Riley.

Riley talked to BBC Breakfast about The Girl Who Talked To Dolphins.
