Jazz legend Horace Silver dies

Tributes have been paid to jazz musician Horace Silver who has died at the age of 85

One of the most highly regarded pianists and composers in jazz, Horace Silver, has died aged 85 in the US.

He was one of the pioneers of a rhythmic jazz style known as hard bop.

He played with many jazz greats including Miles David, Art Blakey and Slim Gaillard, who interviewed him for the BBC's Rhythms of the World: Slim's Jazz.
