English National Opera facing major funding cuts

The English National Opera is facing a major cut to its funding as part of a shake-up of how arts funding is distributed.

Arts Council England - which hands out the grants - said the ENO had failed to reach box office targets.

Funding for projects outside London is up but critics say it is not enough.
