Mvula on Abbey Road and stage fright

Singer Laura Mvula talks to BBC News about recording her latest album at the famous Abbey Road studios, and why she does not like watching her performances.

Singer and songwriter Laura Mvula has had an incredible two years in the music industry.

The 28-year-old has gone from being a relative unknown to a Mobo-winning, Brit award-nominated artist.

Her debut album, Sing to the Moon, reached number nine in the UK album charts when it was released in March 2013.

Classically trained with a degree in composition, her dreams were realised when she was given the opportunity to record her second album at the famous Abbey Road studios with a live orchestra.

She spoke to BBC News about her musical journey to success, and why she still cannot watch old performances of herself on television.
