Jaws had 'teeth of steel with heart of gold'

Richard Kiel, the actor who played Jaws in the James Bond film franchise, has died at the age of 74.

Kiel starred in in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and Moonraker (1979) opposite Roger Moore - the third Bond.

Sandro Monetti, a director of BAFTA in Los Angeles, told Rachel Burden on BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast: "He had teeth of steel with a heart of gold. He was a great ambassador for James Bond and would turn up at many events and autograph shows. It was like kids meeting Santa Claus."
