Wilko Johnson says he is cancer free at Q Awards

Former Dr Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson says he has been cured of the terminal pancreatic cancer with which he was diagnosed in 2012.

He said he made an album with Roger Daltrey in eight days, and thought he was in "extra time".

But then a doctor was "curious as to why I'm not dead" and sent him to Addenbrooke's Hospital.

Surgeons removed a 3kg tumour in an 11-hour operation.

"They cured me", Wilko told the audience at the Q Awards in London.
