The memorial service for the film director and actor Lord Richard Attenborough was held this week at Westminster Abbey.

In a long and distinguished career he became a champion of enriching people's lives through the arts.

That ambition is shared by the American actor Kevin Spacey, who ends his run as Artistic Director at the Old Vic in London later this year.
