NHS changes 'will raise quality' says health secretary

The Health and Social Care Bill which paves the way for GPs to control most of the NHS budget will "raise quality" according to the Health Secretary Andrew Lansley.

The overhaul of the health service in England has been criticised by some for the pace and scale of the changes, but the government says care and accountability will be improved.
