Mum trained to use heart scanner
Mum Laura Richards has been trained to use a mobile heart scanner to help monitor her baby's heart.
Three-year-old Iolan travelled to the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle for a pioneering heart transplant, led by Dr Richard Kirk.
But as Iolan and his family live in Porthcawl, Wales, this new technology will be used to send the heart images back to the medical team in the North, so they can keep track of his progress.
The BBC's Sharon Barbour reports.
