Gene therapy tested in leftover eye tissue

Researchers in Oxford have used a new technique to test gene therapy, before trying it out on a person.

They are using small segments of eye tissue left over from operations, doing away with the need for primate testing.

Geneticist Dan Lipinski explains the process.
