The Patients' Association: 'It's inappropriate'

The government has said it will look into figures suggesting that thousands of hospital patients are being discharged in the middle of the night.

The medical director of the NHS said he was concerned to hear that some patients may have been sent home late, unnecessarily.

The Chair of the Patients' association, Roswyn Hakesley-Brown, told the BBC it was unacceptable.
