Woman recalls moment A&E doctors told her she had cancer

Nearly a quarter of cancer cases in England are only diagnosed when a patient is admitted to Accident and Emergency.

The National Cancer Intelligence Network looked at nearly 750,000 patients' experiences between 2006-2008 in England to see how cancer was diagnosed.

Around 58,400 cancers a year were diagnosed through emergency hospital admissions.

5 live's Chris Warburton spoke to Vanessa Price who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at A&E.
