Talk to children about alcohol, say campaigners

Children and teenagers in the UK often try alcohol long before it's legal for them to drink.

Staffordshire County council has launched a campaign to encourage parents of 11 to 14-year-olds to talk about the effects of drinking.

Tony Bullock from the council said evidence suggests "having that early conversation can have a big impact on young people's alcohol intake behaviour".

Tim Muffett reports.
