Measles epidemic: Health chief urges MMR immunisation

Attempts to control the spread of measles in south Wales are being stepped up, with the outbreak now being described as an epidemic.

MMR vaccination drop-in clinics will be opened in Cardiff, Newport and the south Wales Valleys on Saturday.

Professor David Salisbury, Director of Immunisation at the Department of Health, urged parents to ensure their children had received the MMR vaccine.
