'We're not saying pregnant women have to do this'

New guidance from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists claims there is not enough information about potential risks to unborn children from chemicals found in many household products including moisturisers, shower gel and plastic containers.

Critics say their report is "unhelpful, unrealistic and alarmist".

Professor Richard Sharp from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists helped write the report and told BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast that because so many people get information "from scaremongering sources... we have got to provide some guidance and information".
