Hunt: 'Named clinician' for older patients

The Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has announced that older people receiving NHS treatment in England will have a designated doctor to ensure that patients, families and carers all know who is responsible for that patient.

Speaking at the Evelina Children's Hospital in central London, Mr Hunt said the move was necessary if the NHS was to become a world leader in integrated care.
