George Osborne: 'Our economic plan is working'

The Chancellor, George Osborne, has said a positive quarterly inflation report from the Bank of England is proof the the government's economic plan "is working".

The Bank said the UK's economy was growing "robustly" and raised the forecast for growth this year and next.

Mr Osborne told the BBC: "Of course many risks remain and the greatest risk would be if we were to abandon our economic plan."
