PIP implant patient 'happy' with court order
A French court has ruled a German safety standards company pay compensation to hundreds of women who were fitted with defective breast implants.
The implants from PIP (Poly Implant Prothese) were approved by TUV Rheinland, even though they contained sub-standard silicone gel.
Carol Robson was one of 1,700 women who brought the case against the firm, and will now receive up to £33,000 ($53,000) in compensation.
