Baby organ donation rules are 'deadly' say doctors

UK guidelines prevent the declaration of brain stem death in babies under two months old.

This means these infants cannot donate organs and as a result very young babies needing tiny organs, have to rely on those brought in from Europe where the rules are less stringent.

BBC Health and Science reporter James Gallagher reports for Radio 4's the Today Programme, on what doctors are calling "crazy double standards", which are leading to babies' deaths in the UK.
