England's flagship health trusts record first deficit
England's flagship health trusts have recorded a financial deficit for the first time.
The 147 foundation trusts - including hospitals, mental health and ambulance services - reported an overall deficit of £167m between April and June.
The figures highlight the financial challenges facing the NHS in England as it deals with rising demand for health care.
