NHS trial medical video conferencing for patients on dialysis

Video conferencing is commonplace in the boardroom but it's now being used to treat patients with kidney failure, in their own homes.

More than 20 thousand people in the UK require kidney dialysis, most of them travel to hospital up to three times a week to receive treatment.

However, patients in Lancashire and Cumbria are trialling video conference calling with nurses so they can be trained to manage their own treatment.

The BBC's Leah Boleto reports.
