Steps to beat 'hidden killer' sepsis revealed in England

New measures to tackle the health condition sepsis, which claims around 31,000 lives a year in the UK, have been announced by the Department of Health in England.

Sepsis is caused when the body's immune system overreacts to infection.

The focus will be on improving early diagnosis so it can be treated successfully.
