Many doctors 'want to retire early', says survey

More than half of family doctors say they plan to leave the profession early, before they reach the age of 60, according to a new survey for the BBC.

GPs blame long working hours and unsatisfactory pay.

The health secretary Jeremy Hunt has admitted the figures are "worrying".
