Junior doctors row: Top paediatrician calls on Hunt to renegotiate

A week of strikes by junior doctors will take place this month as the row over a new contract intensifies.

Three more five-day walkouts in October, November and December in England have been also been announced by the British Medical Association (BMA).

Prof Neena Modi, president of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health, says "the only way to resolve an argument is for both sides to get back to the negotiating table."
