At what age can children start to appreciate "grown up" music?

There is very little middle ground for jazz fans with kids - either they inflict their musical tastes on their children, or vice versa.

The London Jazz Festival runs a series of events every year that try to bridge that gap.

The organisers of Jazz for Toddlers, music educator Orphy Robinson and dance educator Hopal Romans, spoke to BBC World Service about introducing small children to jazz "by stealth".
