Insects on the menu at Paris bistro

For millennia, eating insects has been a staple for peasant peoples in Africa and Asia.

But now it is beginning to make in-roads in the self-proclaimed capital of haute cuisine - Paris.

In the French capital's hip Montmartre neighbourhood, Le Festin Nu (The Naked Lunch) bistro gives customers the chance to select from a variety of entomological treats.

Chef Elie Daviron told BBC News why he wants to get more people eating insects - and diners at the bistro offered their opinion on the unusual fare.
