The Irish-American trying to make China laugh
Stand-up comedy is popular in the west but is still a relatively new concept in China.
In a country with limited freedom of expression, speaking in public can be problematic - even if it is just to make people laugh.
For the past year, Irish-American stand-up comedian Des Bishop has been taking on state censorship in Beijing as well as a new language.
BBC News joined him to find out what makes Chinese people laugh.
