Saunas and streaking at the South Pole

Fed up with life in California's Silicon Valley, Phil Broughton typed ''Antarctica" into a job search engine.

By October 2002 he was at the South Pole, working as a cryogenics technician and volunteer barman. He ended up staying for a year - and still misses it.

Broughton spoke to Outlook on the BBC World Service about the experience, and animation students at the University of West of England in Bristol imagined what it might have looked like.

Listen to more of Phil Broughton's story about life at the South Pole.
