#BBCTrending: 'Queen of Tex-Mex music' lives on social media

US-born Latin singer Selena Quintanilla Perez was known as the "Queen of Tex-Mex music". Twenty years ago on 31 March, she was shot dead by her fan club manager Yolanda Saldivar.

Back then Facebook, Instagram and Twitter did not exist, but now millions of followers keep her memory alive on social media.

On the anniversary of her death, many are remembering the singer by using the hashtags #Selena20 and #SelenaQuintanilla.
