A close-up look at Nasa's Voyagers

The BBC's David Shukman takes a close look at an exact copy of the Voyager spacecraft at Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Voyager 2 was launched on 20 August 1977, two weeks before its twin, the faster moving Voyager 1.

The pair are now more than 14 billion km from Earth, trying to break free from our Solar System to move into interstellar space.
