Mars men 'return' to Earth

Six men who have been in total isolation for over 500 days on a mock mission to Mars emerge from their capsule in a Moscow warehouse.

For the past 18 months, their routine has mirrored life in a real spaceship.

They have been communicating with the rest of the world with a delay of 20 minutes, just as they would on the Red Planet.

The project was aimed at testing how their minds and bodies would cope on a long-haul spaceflight.
