UK instrument watches atmosphere

The launch of Europe's Metop-B weather satellite sees yet another British-built instrument go into orbit to measure water vapour in Earth's atmosphere.

The Microwave Humidity Sounder (MHS) is the fourth such instrument to fly.

Brett Candy, a data assimilation scientist at the UK Met Office, told our correspondent Jonathan Amos what it could do.
