How do you save an endangered pear?

A historic cooking pear, which was mentioned in Shakespeare's play The Winter's Tale, could be preserved for future generations thanks to a college in Bedfordshire.

The Warden Pear is thought to have been first cultivated by monks around the 13th century, but just five trees producing the fruit remain in the area.

Now, students at Shuttleworth College are trying to ensure its survival.

Jo Black reports.
