Total eclipse viewed from a plane over Faroe Islands

Millions of people in the UK and northern Europe have observed spectacular scenes as the Moon passed between the Earth and the Sun.

Many professional and amateur astronomers positioned themselves in the Faroe Islands, where a full eclipse was viable for a full two minutes.

Stargazing Live's Liz Bonnin was in a plane flying above the Faroe Islands and witnessed the spectacular from the skies.
