Study shows orangutans use 'kiss squeaks' to communicate
Scientists who spent years listening to orangutans say their "kiss squeaks" could help us understand the origins of human language.
The findings - published in the journal Nature Human Behaviour - show that orangutans combine purse-lipped, "consonant-like" calls to convey messages.
