Smart cutlery monitors intake

Fabrice Boutain from Hapilabs shows off the Hapifork, the "smart" utensil which monitors how much, and how quickly, you eat.

The makers of the Hapifork say it is the first ever "smart" utensil - a bluetooth-enabled fork that could help you lose weight.

Hapifork monitors your eating schedule, keeping track of how many times you lift it to your mouth. If you chomp down your meal too fast it will vibrate, forcing you to slow down.

The Hapifork was on display at CES 2013, the world's biggest consumer electronics trade show in Las Vegas.
